Spring Lake is a village in Ottawa County, Michigan, located within Spring Lake Township, with a population of 2,497 at the 2020 census. Captain Benjamin Hopkins settled the area in 1837 and built a sawmill known locally as Hopkins Mill. The plat was recorded in 1849 under the name Mill Point, and a post office opened in May 1851.
